I know, it’s a ridiculous photo.  Here I am, 38 weeks pregnant, two weeks away from my due date, laughing my head off, ‘cause I’m sure my friend/photographer Cara Garbarino said something hilarious.  I am expecting my first child to come any day now, and I can’t even begin to explain what a crazy feeling it is, just waiting for the arrival of someone you have never met, but you know is going to INSTANTLY change your life.  My husband and I are ready for her…  Her little things are in place, her clothes are washed and folded, and her car seat has been installed for a month now.  I swear, it has saved me from a moving violation at least once.

I have purposefully cleared my schedule, save for a few little things here and there, and the time off has been a real eye opener.  First of all, I can’t wait to play more shows with my incredible new band!  The CD release shows were such a monster success, and the band was so much fun to rock out with…  I’m telling you right now, I won’t be out of the scene for long.  Another thing I’m realizing is that every single day goes by in a flash, and before I know it, I’m going to be gazing into my daughter’s eyes and learning volumes from her unique personality.  Oh my god, how cool is that?!  I feel like the luckiest person on earth, and I really want to thank you, the people who are interested in the life/music of yours truly, for making the release of my record such an inspiring and motivating experience.  The only thing left to do now is release another record!!! 

This might be a brief departure from updates and shows and TV appearances, but you KNOW I’ll be back with a story to tell, on the flip side of my crash course in parenthood.
