I’m so excited to announce that District 97’s debut album, Hybrid Child, is released worldwide on September 14th, 2010, which is less than a week away.  People are really digging it so far, and there hasn’t been a single negative review, so if you’re visiting this site and are otherwise unaware of such things, get hip to it!  It’s great music, and I’m so proud of how the record came together.  We have shows coming up, some of which not in the Chicagoland area, so get hip to that as well, on the “shows” page of this here website.

I have a solo show in November, where I hope to be testing out some new material, so I hope to see you (the reader) there.

Check out the District 97 website for reviews, news and other such exciting things!!!

To buy a copy of the record immediately, ‘cause you don’t wanna wait another day (you’ll understand why this is *kinda* funny when you buy the CD!!!) you can click HERE!!!

Oh, and to buy some of my fierce and fabulous merchandise, click HERE or HERE!!!

I’ve been a baaaaad blogger.  And yes, I say like sheepishly.

Someone told me once that I should only blog about the music.  Well, what happens when the music has taken a short-lived backseat to other things, like motherhood or buying a house?  Does that mean I should not write sweet nothings on my website during this slow period?  The answer is no, in my opinion.  It’s my damn website, and you wouldn’t be here reading this if you didn’t have some interest in my thoughts and feelings.

Wow, I’m going to be performing original music House Of Blues on Friday.  I remember the first time I went there, I was in high school and I saw Incubus…  They played songs off of Bjork’s Homogenic while they were setting up.  I went home and immediately wrote a song that would make people dance the way I danced that night.  And now I’m going to be playing there with District 97, and I couldn’t be more proud to be the frontman of this band.

The End.

Guys, I’m way giddy about today’s WGN Midday News performance.  It’s by far the biggest thing I’ve done since American Idol, and I can’t wait to show people what’s up with this crazy little season six semi-finalist.  It’ll be sweet to share my music with an estimated 200,000 viewers, and rock out in people’s living rooms, or wherever the heck else people watch TV.
