District 97 is going on it’s first tour!  Check my “shows” page for dates!  We’re thrilled to be opening for Agents of Mercy, as it’s definitely going to be an awesome night of music each night.  We’re playing seven shows in a row, and covering a lot of ground, so check it out and hopefully you can make it to one of them, oh mystery blog reader!

This is our brand new music video, which was created by Alex Curtis.  Great animation, huh?!  He’s awesome for putting this together for us.

In other news, I bought a guitar!  I’ve been playing it a lot, and while I’m a total beginner, I find myself to be very inspired with this new songwriting tool.  I’ve been writing songs…  Oh yes…

All I need is a big ‘ol batch of new songs and I’m going to hit the streets again with my solo project.  Until that day, call me the lead singer of District 97, as well as of the Ken Arlen Orchestra.

My song “Way Too Much” was said to have appeared in an episode of Hellcats.
David Alphonso’s song “Yeah Yeah” was also said to have appeared in an episode of Hellcats.

And not the other way around.

I watched the whole episode and never heard my song.
See it labeled incorrectly here!

I got word from the licensing company that has been working on placing my music in tv/commercials that they will indeed use it.  Why would it be in the list of songs played in that episode if they hadn’t used it yet?  Someone really screwed up.  Yikes.

Yay for Way Too Much, wherever you may end up…

This is hilarious, but it’s great to get so many hits on my website!

I did not write a song called “Yeah Yeah” that was featured in an episode of Hellcats, so either there’s another Leslie Hunt in the world that writes awesome music (he he) or it was an unfortunate typo for the young songstress…
